I Have A Question (Pic For Attention)

How important is the time increment of your candles when you're analyzing a chart? For example, let's say I'm trading short term and viewing a chart with a candle closing every five minutes and I spot what looks to be a bullish ABCD pattern. Is this a true pattern? Is it best to do my analysis from a larger time frame, say an hour, to determine what is happening in the smaller time frame and then pick my position?
