A buying reaction but can they follow through

The S&P 500 on Thursday broke to the downside as it reached the lows for the session a shadow was formed which implies buyers from what I call Behavioral Japanese Candle Analysis. Can these buyers that created the shadow follow through to the upside. Another issue is how do people want to go home over this weekend short the S&P or if you were previous seller buying to take profits. Another possibility is that buyers are buying this break and are looking for the minor up trend to continue. Friday's price action should give us some answers.
