Covering a part of the online space. The trading community is filled with scams and false information. Many of which are blind to the eyes of begginers. Coming into the trading space you should know the following.
1) "Mentors"
Social Media is filled with frauds, around 95% of it. and i am not over-exaggerating when i say this. As a begginer, your eyes glow when you see all the exotic cars and luxurious lifestyles of trading gurus. Your brain cant deny the fact that these people are making money, i mean they have proof of all the cars, right? Wrong. Most of these Trading Gurus make absoloutely no money from trading. and no this is no crazy conspirecy theory, this is real life. None of these gurus show valid proof of long term consistent profitabilty, and when they do its mostly faked. The cars are rented, the lifestyle shown on camera is not how they live behind the scenes, nothing is real, their only task is to sell you the fact that they are profitable. All their money is made from these fast edited Videos, Getting money from Ad Revenue, sponsors, and most importantly their courses. These are people who have never showed proof of consistent profitable trading that are selling courses to begginers, promising them profitabilty and success, when the harsh reality is, they arent even profitable themselves, they dont know how to trade either. They are making the money off you and ads accross all their platforms. And this is a very common thing trading youtubers do. On some, most of the video is spent flashing all their money to you to try and convince you. Some other spend their time showing you how to trade on Sim accounts (that is trading with fake money), and trading price action that already happened. Rarely do they live-stream themselves live trading, no broker statements, not any type of stats of what their trading has achieved. And many times where they do have broker statements, its photoshoped or its by a broker that they themselves own.
Summary: Most of Trading gurus are not really real traders, just looking to leach off your money to buy their course, after convinving you that they know how to trade. They focus a lot on spreading out, accross platforms, posting multiple videos daily, going so far to market themselves and eventually bring more people to fall victim to the lies, while also making money from ad revenue.
Extra: You do not need to buy any course to beccome profitable, everything on the courses is already out there on the internet for free. theres no holy grail strategy with a 90% winrate. Trading is not an easy game, you cannot become profitable quick, its not a get rich quick scheme, its a skill that will take thousands of hours of experience, both on the technical side and the psychological side of trading. No VIP signal group is profitable, nothing is real. and even then, you must not rely on others for your profitability, build your own trading style based on what you know and your experience.
2) The traders within the community: Its not a secret that most of traders in this game lose, lose consistently. I believe that over 95% of traders find no real consistent profitability over a big period of time. You yourself probably arent profitable, and neither am i profitable. Yet "we" as unprofitable traders take advice from each other, and are trying to teach people how to trade and what is correct and what isnt. This is very common on social media platforms, traders giving other newbies advice, when they arent consistently profitable themselves. So, be careful who's advice you trust online. Like our parents once said, "Do not believe everything you hear on the internet".
This post wasnt made to teach you how to trade. Just to share an idea. Be open minded.
