Many organizations are predicting that the US may not lower interest rates this year due to the uncertainties. Goldman Sachs' recent forecast supports this prediction by stating that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will not decrease interest rates in 2023. The Fed will pause after 10 rate hikes, which is the most popular step in the next 6 months. As a result, the USD will not depreciate rapidly, which will put pressure on gold.

Nevertheless, many forecasts still predict that the price of precious metals will increase and soon surpass the record high of around $2,070/ounce when central banks increase their gold purchases.
