Stan Weinstein Trend IndicatorThis indicator is a trend indicator for trading charts based on the method of Stan Weinstein. It uses various technical methods to identify four trend phases on an asset: consolidation, advancement, plateauing, and decline. Users can customize the indicator by modifying parameters such as the periods for various calculations, such as the exponential moving average (EMA), the relative strength index (RSI), and support and resistance levels. The results of these calculations are then used to determine if an asset is in a phase of consolidation, advancement, plateauing, or decline.
The results are displayed as markers on the chart, with the following colors:
White: Consolidation
Green: Advancement
Blue: Plateauing
Red: Decline
According to the method of Stan Weinstein, it is recommended to buy an asset during an advancement phase and sell it during a plateauing phase. Similarly, it is recommended to sell an asset during a decline phase and cut this sale when the consolidation phase starts. It is important to note that this indicator is for informational purposes only and should not be used as investment advice. It is important to conduct fundamental and technical analysis before making an investment decision. It is also recommended to combine this analysis with other methods for optimal results and to consider the risks associated with any investment.
All default parameters of this indicator have been carefully chosen to provide the best possible results, however, it is possible to modify them according to personal preferences. It is important to note that modifying certain parameters may make the indicator less relevant and it is therefore recommended not to deviate too much from default values, unless you have a good understanding of the Stan Weinstein method and the technical indicators used.
It is important to note that this indicator is optimized for 1-week charts. It can be used to look at charts at other timeframes but calculations will always be based on weekly data.
Also, it is noteworthy that this indicator is optimized for cryptocurrencies, except Bitcoin, as it is used to calculate the relative strength of a token. However, you can choose the asset or index you want in the menu to calculate the relative strength. Furthermore, all the default settings are carefully chosen, but users are free to modify them, but doing so may result in less relevant results.

[TTI] Stage Analysis Alert IndexHISTORY AND CREDITS –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
The script is created based on lessons and interviews from Stan Weinstein. The Alert Index is being used by Stan and his team to gauge the general markets.
WHAT IT DOES– ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
This is an internal fundamental indicator that Stan and its team uses, that gauges the relationship between the 3 month T bill yield and the AAA bonds. The indicator uses the 3 colored system to determine favorable trading conditions in the market.
🟨 Yellow – OK conditions
🟩 Green – Great conditions
🟥 Red – Unfavorable conditions
Remember this is a fundamentals indicator and looks at the market from a much more macro picture.
HOW TO USE IT –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
The indicator is to be used in order to determine the agressiveness of the position sizing in the market. Green conditions show very favorable market for long positions and yellow show ok conditions. However, during red condition the trader is advised not to be aggressively exposed in the market
[TTI] Stage Analysis Momentum Index––––History & Credit
The credit to this indicator goes to Stan Weinstein, the father of Stage Analysis. By studying his books and methods he has disclosed the exact way of calculating the Momentum Index that is being used by him and his team in order to gauge the market.
–––––What it does
The indicator falls into the category of technical indicators used by Stan. It calculates an simple moving average based on the difference between the Advancing and Declining issues on various markets.
The settings of the indicator allow to adjust the length of the moving average as well to choose 1 of the 3 markets for which it has been scripted to work: NYSE, NASDAQ or Total US Stocks.
–––––How to use it
The indicator ought to be used on the daily chart
The most important thing to look for is if the indicator is if it is above zero and below zero. A below zero Momentum index is an outright bearish signal and traders should consider stepping out of the market or initiate short positions.
The other things that ought to be considered are the depth and length of the prior to a violating action. In a nutshell the longer, stronger the above zero action the more powerful a below zero cross will be.
[TTI] Stage 2 Signal & NetNewHighs vs NetNewLowsHISTORY AND CREDITS –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Stage 2 is part of Mark Minervini's NON-NEGOTIABLE criteria. What does this mean? Well it means that Mark does not enter a trade that is not in Stage 2. Stage analysis is the work of Stan Weinstein who divides stock price movements in 4 stages (Stage1, Stage2, Stage3 and Stage4). Additionally, the second part of the indicator, NetNewHighs (NNH) vs NetNewLows (NNL), has been used by many traders, most recently I have seen Matt Caruso use it in his methodology.
WHAT IT DOES ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
1️⃣ Stage 2 Signal
This method uses price, moving averages, volume in order to asses when it is the best time to get in a trade.
👉 Stage 1 - stock goes sideways and does not make any price progress
👉 Stage 2 - stock gains a lot of value and is trending up. It shows strong support from institutions
👉 Stage 3 - stock goes in a sideways action again
👉 Stage 4 - stock loses a lot of it gain in a short amount of time
Stage 2 is shown by the AQUA/CYAN color on the first line of the indicator.🟦
2️⃣ Net New Highs vs Net New Lows
This assess the general market health. It looks at the ration of New Highs vs New Lows. The indicator assess when there has been 3 consecutive days of Net New Highs > Net New Lows, this show that the general market is moving up as more stocks are advancing than those that are declining. As per Investor Business Daily research the stocks move is determined 50% by the move of the general market, 25% by the move of the sector it is in and 25% by the stock itself. Therefore, the indicator helps assess and analyze the 50% of the general marekt.
When the condition of 3consecutive days is met the indicator prints green square on the bottom line 🟩.. The sensitivity (i.e. the 3 day can be changed in the settings).
HOW TO USE IT –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
1️⃣ Stage 2 Signal
Only enter trades when they are in a Stage 2. This drastically increases the probability of success when trading to the long side. Look for AQUA/CYAN squares print before entering a trade
2️⃣ Net New Highs vs Net New Lows
Look for confirmation criteria indicated by a printing of green squares in the bottom of the indicator.
ScalpyScalpy is made up of a 2 main parts.
- The cloud comprising of a 10 period SMA and a 30 period SMA.
- When the cloud is green you should be looking for long entries.
- When the cloud is red you should be looking for short entries.
- Price is most bullish above a green cloud and most bearish below a red cloud.
- Being within the cloud indicates indecision.
The blue and white lines on the indicator show the relationship between price and momentum.
They can be used to spot reversals in two ways:
- The first is a divergence between price (blue line) and RSI (white line)
- If the price makes a lower low but the RSI makes a higher low this shows the trend is weakening and may be reversing soon (as can be seen by the two yellow lines on the chart).
The second is a simple crossover:
- When the white line crosses the blue line to the upside this signals a long entry.
- When the white line crosses the blue line to the downside this signals a short entry.
Mansfield Relative Strength indicatorUse this indicator to compare how security is performing in compare with preferred index (SPX by default).
> 0 outperforming
< 0 underperforming
Works best for weekly, but can be applied to monthly and daily charts. It will be rather useless to use it in smaller timeframes
Apply it to SPX, industry index, sector index or other security in similar sector
