Monte Rosa is pursuing an alternate approach by using molecular glue degraders (MGDs) to induce protein-protein interactions, enabling the elimination of protein targets without binding pockets. Monte Rosa believes that this opens up significant opportunities to eliminate therapeutically relevant proteins that are considered undruggable by other small molecule approaches.
