The lira USDTRY traded at 41.80 against the U.S. dollar at Monday's close.

The main BIST 100 share index XU100 closed 1.53% lower on Monday at 10,556.18 points.

GLOBAL MARKETS

Asian stocks stumbled on Tuesday, as signs the U.S. and China were preparing for trade talks later this month were tempered by uncertainty over whether the two nations could strike a durable deal.

ERDOGAN PROGRAMME

President Tayyip Erdogan will attend a programme organised by his ruling AK Party's economic branch in Ankara. He will then chair a meeting of the party's central executive board. (1100 GMT) (1230 GMT)

HAMAS-ISRAEL DEAL

Hamas freed the last living Israeli hostages from Gaza on Monday under a ceasefire deal and Israel sent home busloads of Palestinian detainees, as U.S. President Donald Trump declared the end of the two-year long war that has upended the broader Middle East.

PARLIAMENTARY GROUP MEETINGS

Ozgur Ozel, head of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), will make a speech at the CHP's parliamentary group meeting. (1030 GMT)

The government-allied MHP (0745 GMT) and the pro-Kurdish DEM Party will also hold their group meetings. (0945 GMT)
