Altcoin Health Index
This tool calculates the dominance of altcoins (excluding Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, and USDC) over Bitcoin. The indicator provides a precise ratio derived from the combined value of select altcoins against Bitcoin's market cap.
Watch for the shaded regions:
- A **red background** signals dominance exceeding 0.75, hinting at a potential altcoin market heating up. Possible sign of euphoria or a local top/ cycle top.
- On the flip side, a **green background** indicates a dominance below 0.25, suggesting Bitcoin's superior market position during that period. Alts are historically "cheap" at these levels relative to BTC.
