Dusty Cluster

Dusty Cluster is a quick way to compare ETH and BTC against different crypto categories such as DeFi, L1’s and more. The comparison start date is adjustable for analyzing performance of different time periods. It is possible to apply adjustable plot line smoothing for improving visibility.

The DeFi category includes UNI, AAVE, MKR, CRV, FXS, COMP, SNX, CVX, DYDX, OSMO. It is a selection based on both market cap and TVL and is sourced from Coingecko and DefiLlama, as well as trying to include several of the DeFi sub-categoires such as CDP, DEX, yield, lending, derivatives, and more. Stables, wrappers, reserve currencies, aggregators, and others are not included.

As can be observed in the picture above it was only UNI that outperformed ETH and BTC in later part of the period.

The L1 category includes BNB, ADA, SOL, DOT, MATIC, TRX, AVAX, NEAR, FTM, and VET and the selection is from the top 30 smart contract platforms by market cap according to Coingecko. Excluded projects include EOS, LUNA, ETC, IOTA, NEO and others. Projects that at the time of publishing this have failed to deliver tech or any meaningful traction.

Is it all beta?
Includes ALT10, CRYPTO25, TOTAL, SHITPERP, MIDPERP, and DEFI25. It is a way to get a broad overview of ETH and BTC performance against the total market, or to see if “It's all just beta, anon” as someone posted on Twitter.
