Overview
This indicator is a multi-layered market analysis tool designed to distinguish between high-conviction trending environments and low-probability sideways "noise." It combines a custom Price Density Map (Volume Profile alternative) with a dynamic Choppiness Shield and Relative Reality Index (OCC) to provide a clear path for trend following.
Key Components
1. The Path Discovery (Price Density Architecture) Unlike standard moving averages that rely only on time, this script calculates a Density Map over a lookback period (default 70 bars). It segments the price range into resolutions and identifies the "Main Path"—the price level where the market has spent the most time or shown the most interest. This acts as a dynamic "Point of Control" that defines the primary trend bias.
2. Volumetric Chaos Shield To avoid the common trap of false breakouts during consolidation, the script integrates a two-stage filter:
Fractal Choppiness Index: It uses log-scaled range calculations to determine if the market is in a chaotic (random walk) state. If the Choppiness exceeds the Golden Ratio (61.8), the "Path" turns gray and signals a "Wait" mode.
Volume Validation: Every signal is cross-referenced with a Volume Moving Average to ensure price movement is backed by institutional participation.
3. L-Score & OCC (Momentum & Reality Index) The indicator synthesizes CCI and RSI into a normalized L-Score for momentum consistency. Furthermore, it calculates the OCC (Open-Close-Convergence), a custom metric that measures the "Reality" of a move by weighting RSI calculations with volume flow.
4. Adaptive Trailing System Includes a built-in virtual trailing stop-loss that adjusts based on price volatility, helping to lock in profits during trending phases while allowing the trade "room to breathe."
How to Read the Chart
Blue Thick Line: Bullish trend confirmed by volume and low chaos.
Orange Thick Line: Bearish trend confirmed by volume and low chaos.
Gray Thin Line: Market is in "Chop Mode." High risk of whipsaws.
VOL BUY/SELL Labels: Triggered when price breaks out from the Main Path with momentum and volume support.
Technical Settings
Path Resolution: Higher values provide a more granular price density map.
Chop Threshold: Adjust this to make the filter more or less sensitive to sideways movement.
Trailing %: Set based on the asset’s volatility (e.g., 1-2% for Forex, 5-10% for Crypto).
