Using Minds

TradingView Minds is built for short-form content — quick thoughts, chart observations, or trading insights that don’t require a full-fledged Idea post.

To make the most of Minds, follow these best practices:

  • Always post in the correct Minds feed.
To do this, open the chart for the specific symbol you want to discuss, then click the Minds button. That way, your post appears in the right context where traders interested in that symbol are more likely to see it.
  • Add Context to Trade Setups.
If you’re sharing trade ideas like entries, exits, stop-losses, or targets, always include a brief explanation. Providing context helps others understand your logic and makes your post more valuable. Include a snapshot to make it more visually appealing and explanatory.
    • Avoid low-effort signals like:
    • BUY: 90 | TP: 100 | SL: 85 without any explanation. These don’t help anyone.
  • Keep it relevant — avoid self-promotion or vote fishing
    • Try to keep your posts focused on trading. Posts like “Check my performance,” “Vote Buy/Sell,” or “Target reached” don’t add value and come across as self-promotion.
    • Also, refrain from posting after-the-fact setups (whether in text or on charts), where price has already moved significantly in your favor. These are not permitted and will be removed.
  • Follow the House Rules
    • All Minds posts must adhere to our House Rules. Respect the space, contribute meaningfully, and help keep the community helpful and focused.

When used correctly, Minds can be a great way to share ideas quickly, learn from others, and connect with traders who care about the same markets you do. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to one of our Moderators.
