News alerts
With news alerts, you can create alerts based on your saved news flows.
News alerts are available for authorized users. For now, there is a limit for news alerts: one alert can be created.
To use alerts, you need to create a news flow filters template first.
Actions available for the News Flow alerts:
- Create alert
To create an alert, switch the toggle “News alert” in the flows menu
If an alert is enabled, the flow is marked with the alerts icon in the flows menu.
Also, the alerts icon appears in the “Open flow” dialog.
The alert icon is not clickable, it just informs the user which news flow has alert enabled.
If you turn on an alert for unsaved flow, flow should be saved at first. After saving the flow alert will be enabled.
If there are unsaved changes in the flow and you enable an alert, changes in the flow will be automatically saved.
- Switch alert
To change the flow with an active alert, just enable the alert on the other flow: the alert will be turned off on the old flow and moved to the new one.
- Turn off the alert
To turn off an alert, switch the toggle “News alert” in the flows menu.
If you delete the flow with an active alert, the alert will also be deleted.
If alert is enabled, you will get a notification when new news appears.
If you are on the News Flow page and focused on the flow with enabled alerts, notifications will not be shown. News will be updated in real time without notifications.
You can click “Keep reading” to see the full news story. You can switch between stories by clicking the “Previous” or “Next” buttons. Another way to switch is “Arrow left” or “Arrow right” on the keyboard.
