Forex Kill Zones - SMC IndicatorsWhat are Kill Zones?
Kill Zones are specific Time Windows of opportunity during the Session that have the potential for the highest volatility and where looking for trading opportunities is ideal.
The Forex Kill Zone Indicator is specifically designed for the Forex Market. What differentiates this script from other Kill Zones scripts is that this script is based on NY Midnight as the basis for the start of the day.
This is not the usual below-average Kill Zone indicator because this indicator does not only show the 3 main Kill Zones or Sessions, but it also offers extra Kill Zones that are called "Asian Range (AR)", "Central Bank Dealing Range (CBDR)", and "FLOUT".
Another key differentiator of this indicator's functionality is that it shows the highs and lows of each Kill zone allowing SMC traders to monitor Time-Based Liquidity above the highs and lows of each trading session.
Another added benefit of this indicator is the Standard Deviations features for the AR, CBDR, and FLOUT that we added. The Standard Deviations act as key levels where there is a high probability of price reacting when in confluence with 1H or higher key levels (PD Arrays). The Standard Deviations are not pivot levels but are ranges above and below the Kill Zones that rely on TIME and PRICE in their calculations.
Finally, we have also incorporated a Notification function to remind the trader of the start of the trading Kill Zones to not miss out on potential trade opportunities.
Key Functionalities
1) Universal Time Reference:
Every day starts at 00:00 NY Midnight, irrespective of the trader's local time, Instead of the Standard GMT Midnight. This allows all Kill Zones to be in line with the New York start of the day at Midnight, as thought by ICT.
Weekend Highlighter
This feature highlights time from Sunday Market Open at 5 PM NY Time to 00:00 NY Midnight.
It's useful for identifying the non-trading or the low volatility periods when trading should be avoided.
Features Breakdown
Lookback Period
Defaulted to 60 trading days, aligning with “IPDA Data Ranges”, which is ideal for backtesting.
Adjustable for trading, and it's recommended to keep it at 20 trading days to focus on most recent data only.
24-hour Daily Intervals
The 24-hour intervals are not the same as the usual daily candle. Instead, the start of each trading day is anchored to the 00:00 NY Midnight.
Highlights "Days of the Week" labels, "Weekend" Trading Time, and the daily high-low ranges based on the start of trading day mark being at 00:00 NY Midnight.
London Kill Zone (Green)
Starts from 01:00 NY Time to 05:00 NY Time.
London closes at 12:00 NY Time.
Highlight the high and low of the London Kill Zone to Identify Time-Based Liquidity above and below the London Kill Zone Range.
Marks the London Close Session to mark the end of London End of the trading day, where volatility drops.
Highlights the time when there is the highest volatility during the London Session Kill Zone.
New York Kill Zone (Blue)
Starts from 07:00 NY time to 10:00 NY Time.
Marks The CME Open at 08:30 (the opening of the Bond Market).
Highlight the high and low of the New York Kill Zone to Identify Time-Based Liquidity above and below the NY Kill Zone Range.
Highlights the time when there is the highest volatility during the New York Session.
The Central Bank Dealing Range or "CBDR" (Orange)
Starts From 14:00 NY Time to 20:00 NY Time.
Highlight the high and low of the CBDR Kill Zone to Identify Time-Based Liquidity above and below the CBDR Kill Zone Range.
Also, there is an added ability to add the CBDR Standard Deviations above and below the CBDR.
Can also extend the CBDR Standard Deviations key levels until the end of the next day's London Kill Zone.
What are the CBDR Standard Deviations?
The Standard Deviations are extensions of the CBDR above and below the CBDR original range. It takes the high and low of the range and adds the range above and below the original range by x times.
The CCBDR Standard Deviations are NOT pivot levels. They are used as points of reference where we could expect the price to react when in confluence with higher timeframe reference points.
The idea behind them is that if the price is Bearish, the price could rally to +1 CBDR Standard Deviation below dropping lower. As shown in the image below on Thursday, the two vertical lines before the start of Thursday mark the CBDR Kill Zone, then the price rallied to +1 CBDR SDv and then dropped.
Asian Range "AR" Kill Zone
Starts from 20:00 NY Time to 00:00 NY Time.
Highlight the high and low of the AR Kill Zone to Identify Time-Based Liquidity above and below the AR Kill Zone Range.
Also, there is an added ability to add the AR Standard Deviations above and below the AR.
This KillZone should be primarily used when CBDR exceeds 40 pips.
Similar to the CBDR, the AR Standard Deviations also can be used as points of reference where we could expect the price to react when in confluence with higher timeframe reference points.
The AR Standard Deviations can also be extended until the end of the next day's London Kill Zone.
FLOUT Range
It Combines AR and CBDR, spanning from 14:00 NY Time to 00:00 NY Time.
The FLOUT should only be used when both AR and CBDR have small ranges of less than 10 pips combined.
Highlight the high and low of the FLOUT Kill Zone to Identify Time-Based Liquidity above and below the FLOUT Kill Zone Range.
The FLOUT Standard Deviations also can be used as points of reference where we could expect the price to react when in confluence with higher timeframe reference points.
The Flout Standard Deviations can be extended until the end of the next day London Kill Zone.
Bonus Features
Daily & Weekly Open Price Levels
The Open Price levels draw a horizontal line from the start of the trading day at 00:00 NY midnight, and it extends it towards the end of the trading day.
This is useful for understanding where the price is relative to the daily candle.
When Bullish, the trader should look for setups at or below the daily or weekly open price.
When Bearish, the trader should look for setups at or above the daily or weekly open price.
Whether to choose the Daily or Weekly open price depends on the trader's trading style. If the trader is day trading or scaling, then it's more appropriate to choose the Daily Open Price.
However, Day Traders can also use the Weekly candle to align with the Weekly Candle's expected range direction.
On the other hand, if the trader is a Swing Trader and wants to capitalise on the weekly candle's trend, then it's more appropriate to choose the Weekly Open Price.
However, Swing Traders can also use the Daily Open Price when looking to take a trade to time better entries with a high risk-to-reward ratio.
Notifications
The trader can also receive alerts as a reminder at the start of the desired session to not miss out on the start of the trading session.
Ict
itradesize /\ IPDA Look Back - for any timeframeThe script automatically calculates the 20-40-60 look-back periods and their premium and discount ranges.
The base concept is from ICT’s IPDA which should be applied to the daily timeframe but now you can use that same concept on the lower timeframes .
The higher the timeframes you use the more reliable it will be ( when we are talking about lower timeframes than Daily ).
- With the use of the indicator you can apply it on any timeframe with ease.
- You can customize the coloring of premium & discount, frame lines, and even the look of it.
- Hide or show the EQ levels
Below the IPDA texts the indicator shows the actual percentage of the selected range based on the current price fluctuations.
The script handles the 20-40-60 days look-back as fractals so it can be applied on lower timeframes.
The basics:
- The Interbank Price Delivery Algorithm (IPDA): The algorithm creates a shift on the daily chart every 20, 40, and 60 trading days.
- These are the IPDA look-back periods. Every 20 trading days or so there is a new liquidity pool forming on both sides of the market based on ICT concepts.
- Determine the IPDA Data Range of the land 20 trading days.
- Note the highest high & lowest low in the past 20 trading days. Identify the institutional order flow and mark the relevant PD arrays in the selected IPDA look-back period we deemed useful for our trading style.
- This is your current dealing range.
- If the price consolidates for 20 days, consider switching to a 40-day look back.
Inside this dealing range, we look for the next draw on liquidity. Is it reaching for a liquidity pool or is it looking to rebalance at a particular PD Array. This is going to the Bias.
Which IPDA data range should you use?
IPDA20 can be our Short Term range - fit for intraday traders at most
IPDA40 can be our Swing Trade range - have a clear indication of the market profile
IPDA60 can be our range for position trading - have a clear indication of the market profile
itradesize /\ Silver Bullet x Macro x KillzoneThis indicator shows the best way to annotate ICT Killzones, Silver Bullet and Macro times on the chart. With the help of a new pane, it will not distract your chart and will not cause any distractions to your eye, or brain but you can see when will they happen.
The indicator also draws everything beforehand when a proper new day starts.
You can customize them how you want to show up.
Collapsed or full view?
You can hide any of them and keep only the ones you would like to.
All the colors can be customized, texts & sizes or just use shortened texts and you are also able to hide those drawings which are older than the actual day.
You should minimize the pane where the script has been automatically drawn to therefore you will have the best experience and not show any distractions.
The script automatically shows the time-based boxes, based on the New York timezone.

IMGPro - V1.0IMG PRO uses nine sequential stages to analyse price action and alert users to potential Trade Setups using various Price Action Concepts as detailed below:
1. Identify Higher Timeframe Market Structure and Points of Interest (HTF-POIs)
2. Calculate position size based on your risk appetite, fees and account leverage and customisable maximum trade risk
3. Verify price is in a premium or discount
4. Determine Lower Timeframe Market Structure Break Type
5. Apply Early Warning Systems if enabled
6. Alert you to risk managed trade setups at enabled HTF-POIs
7. Alert you to unentered trade invalidations
8. Alert you to trade exits based on your set criteria
9. Provide Additional Alerts such as Higher Timeframe SFPs and Market Structure Breaks that act as potential early warnings that a trade setup may be forming
1. HTF POIs Available with IMG PRO:
a. HTF Market Structure Range Highs and Lows
b. HTF Order Blocks
c. HTF Order Blocks & FVG Overlaps
d. HTF Breakers
e. HTF Breakers & FVG Overlaps
f. HTF FVGs
g. Internal Liquidity Levels
These levels are used for Trade Signals based on user settings applied. Details provided in the trade setup section below
a. Higher Timeframe Market Structure Range High and Low through Multiple Timeframe Analysis:
Market Structure can be defined using several techniques. The IMG indicators employ the Close through High/Low technique, which necessitates a candle to close through a structural level to validate a structural break and designate a new range.
Example: H12 Market Structure visualisation on a H12 Chart with annotations:
By selecting a particular Market Structure timeframe in the settings, the indicator immediately illustrates both current and historical market structures for the chosen timeframe across all subordinate timeframes, subject to the limitations of your Tradingview subscription.
Example: H12 Market Structure visualisation on a H1 Chart with annotations:
b. Higher Timeframe Order Blocks
An Order Block represents the last candle of the opposite direction preceding a Market Structure Break. For instance, a bullish Order Block is identified as the final bearish candle leading to a bullish market structure break, and vice versa for bearish Order Blocks.
Example: H12 OB visualisation on a H12 Chart with annotations:
When activated, the indicator will highlight the Higher Timeframe Order Blocks responsible for a Market Structure Break on all subordinate timeframes relative to the chosen Market Structure Timeframe.
Note: if multiple OBs exist, the indicator will display the OB closest to the new range extreme
Example: H12 OB visualisation on a H1 Chart with annotations:
c. HTF Order Blocks & HTF FVG Overlaps
When enabled, the IMG Pro will only display overlaps of Order Blocks and FVGs. These are strong points of interest to look for trade setups
Example of the indicator displaying a Higher Timeframe’s (HTF) OBs + FVGs on a Lower Timeframe (LTF) chart:
The upper chart labelled H12/H12 is the indicator displaying H12 Structure and OB+FVGs on a H12 chart.
The lower chart labelled H12/H1 is the indicator displaying H12 OB+FVGs on a H1 chart:
d. Higher Timeframe Breakers
A Breaker Block is identified as the most recent Order Block that has been breached by price, leading to an opposite Market Structure Break. For example, a bullish Breaker Block is the last bearish Order Block that price has passed through, confirming a bullish structural break, and the inverse is true for bearish Breakers.
Example: H12 Breaker visualisation on a H12 Chart with annotations:
Once enabled, the system will display Higher Timeframe Breaker Blocks after an opposite Market Structure Break is confirmed on all subordinate timeframes.
Example: H12 Breaker visualisation on a H1 Chart with annotations:
e. HTF Breakers & HTF FVG Overlaps
When enabled, the IMG Pro will only display overlaps of Breakers and FVGs. These are strong points of interest to look for trade setups
Example:
The upper chart labelled H12/H12 is the indicator displaying H12 Structure and Breakers+FVGs on a H12 chart
The lower chart labelled H12/H1 is the indicator displaying H12 Breakers+FVGs on a H1 chart
f. Higher Timeframe Fair Value Gaps (FVGs)
A Fair Value Gap is a concept used by price action traders to identify market inefficiencies, where buying and selling are not balanced. It appears on a chart as a triple-candle pattern, with a large candle flanked by two others whose highs and lows do not overlap with the large candle, creating a gap. This gap often attracts the price towards it before the market resumes its previous direction.
Example of the indicator displaying a Higher Timeframe’s FVGs on a Lower Timeframe (LTF) chart:
-The upper chart labelled H12/H12 is the indicator displaying H12 Structure and FVGs on a H12 chart.
-The lower chart labelled H12/H1 is the indicator displaying H12 FVGs on a H1 chart
g. HTF Internal Liquidity Levels (FVGs)
A HTF Liquidity Level is a Higher Timeframe three bar Pivot that forms inside an active range.
When enabled, the system will display all UNTESTED HTF pivots formed within an active range. Lines will stop extending once they are either tested or HTF Market Structure Breaks
Example: H12 Liquidity Levels on a H1 Chart:
2. Risk Management and Position Sizing:
a. Automated Position Sizing:
The System will automatically calculate position size based on the account size, max leverage and risk appetite (capital risk per trade) details input in settings. Calculated trade details are included in the Tradingview Alerts as well as interactive labels on the charts.
Details include but are not limited to:
Trade Timeframe
Side: Long/Short
Type: Limit/Market
Position Size in $ and Units
Lot sizes if applicable
Trade Risk %
Take Profit Level
Entry Price
Stoploss Price
b. Maximum Trade Risk:
IMG PRO has the ability to invalidate potential trade entries if it exceeds your maximum Trade Risk threshold. Trade Risk is the % price difference between entry and stoploss.
When an invalid signal is generated, the signal will not be shaded and the interactive label will display the reason for invalidation
In the example below, Max Trade Risk is set to 2% , but the trade signal had a trade risk of 5.11% invalidating the signal with a grey triangle
3. Verify Premium / Discount:
The system can be setup to only display signals that are in the top or bottom n% of the Market Structure Range
A value of 0 (default) will disable the premium/discount system and utilize the entire range for all signal types (bullish and bearish)
EXAMPLES:
A value of 50% will only display bullish signals that have, at minimum, tagged the bottom half of the range and vice versa for bearish signals.
A value of 25% will only display bullish signals that have tagged the bottom quarter of the range and vice versa.
A value of 38.2% will display signals that tag the top and bottom 38.2% of the range (equivalent of the 61.8% OTE. retracement) Etc.
4. Determine Lower Timeframe Market Structure Break Type
IMG Pro has two options for Lower Timeframe Structure Breaks:
Market Structure Breaks: When selected, the system will use the first opposite pivot (in the current chart timeframe) to the left of a confirmed SFP to calculate a break in market structure when price closes through it:
Market Structure Shifts: When selected, the system will use the first opposite pivot (in the current chart timeframe) to the left OR right of a confirmed SFP to calculate a break in market structure when price closes through it. MSS’ are more sensitive and may provide more false signals but are useful when there are big spike liquidity runs:
5. Apply Early Warning Systems if enabled:
The IMG Pro indicator has an early warning system that will generate a potential setup alert before a HTF SFP is confirmed
There are two types of early warnings:
LTF Structure Break Early Warning:
If enabled, the system will generate a potential setup alert if price cuts through a HTF level (Range Extreme / Internal Liquidity) and prints an opposite LTF MSB back through that level. This is a more aggressive approach where the system does not wait for the HTF SFP to be confirmed.
Example: In the screenshot below, the system did not wait for a H12 SFP to be confirmed, allowing it to signal an entry that would have otherwise been missed if the LTF Structure Break early warning system was not enabled
LTF FVG Early Warning:
If enabled, the system will generate a potential setup alert if price cuts through a HTF level (Range Extreme / Internal Liquidity) and prints an opposite LTF FVG back through that level. No LTF MSB is required and a limit order at the FVG is signalled. This is a more aggressive approach where the system does not wait for the HTF SFP to be confirmed.
Example: In the screenshot below, the system did not wait for a H12 SFP to be confirmed, signalling an entry as soon as an opposite LTF FVG is confirmed pushing price back through the HTF Liquidity Levels
6. Trade Setup Types Available with IMG PRO:
The system will alert you to potential trade setups at these HTF POIs: .
a. Higher Timeframe (HTF) Swing Failure followed by a Lower Timeframe (LTF) MSB at Range Extremes
b. Higher Timeframe (HTF) Swing Failure followed by a Lower Timeframe (LTF) MSB at enabled HTF POIs
c. Higher Timeframe (HTF) Swing Failure followed by a Lower Timeframe (LTF) MSB at All Internal Liquidity Levels (With Trend and Counter Trend)
d. Higher Timeframe (HTF) Swing Failure followed by a Lower Timeframe (LTF) MSB at All Internal Liquidity Levels (With Trend ONLY)
e. Lower Timeframe (LTF) Swing Failure followed by a Lower Timeframe (LTF) MSB at enabled HTF POIs
f. Multiple LTF Entry Options once a signal is confirmed
a. HTF Swing Failure followed by a LTF MSB at Range Extremes
A Swing Failure Pattern (SFP) is a technical analysis concept used in trading to identify potential reversals in price trends. It occurs when the price attempts to surpass a previous high or low but fails to sustain that level, indicating a possible change in market direction. There are multiple methods to define a SFP but this indicator uses the failure to close through a Key Level. When confirmed, HTF SFPs will be displayed on-screen and an alert will fire if enabled.
Example: EURUSD H12 Trade Setup Alerts at Range Extremes on a H1 Chart:
Alerts to Enter at Lower Timeframe MSBs
When enabled, a potential trade setup label and alert will generate when a HTF SFP is confirmed at a Range Extreme followed by a Chart Timeframe (Lower Timeframe) Market Structure Break (MSB). These signals are agnostic to current Market Structure bias and will generate at both extremes.
b. HTF Swing Failure followed by a LTF MSB at HTF POIs:
When enabled, a trade setup label and alert will generate when a HTF SFP is confirmed at an enabled Higher Timeframe POI (Order Blocks / Breakers / FVGs) followed by a Chart Timeframe (Lower Timeframe) Market Structure Break (MSB). These signals are always in line current Market Structure bias.
Example: H12 SFPs and Trade Setups at HTF POIs with Fluid Exits on a H1 Chart:
c. HTF Swing Failure followed by a LTF MSB at All Internal Liquidity Levels ( With Trend and Counter Trend ):
When enabled, a trade setup label and alert will generate when a HTF SFP is confirmed at an Internal Liquidity Level followed by a LTF Market Structure Break (MSB) or Market Structure Shift(MSS). These signals are agnostic to HTF Market Structure bias and will alert to setups with and counter trend.
Example:
d. HTF Swing Failure followed by a LTF MSB at All Internal Liquidity Levels ( With Trend ONLY )
Same as (c), but will only signal trades that are in line with higher timeframe structure. I.e If HTF Structure is bullish, then only bullish trades will be signalled.
e. LTF Swing Failure followed by a LTF MSB at enabled HTF POIs
The system will alert you to a lower timeframe setup if these conditions are met inside enabled HTF POIs (OBs / Breakers / FVGs):
- LTF SFP
- LTF MSB
Example:
f. LTF Entry Options:
IMG PRO provides the following options for LTF Entries:
i. Limit Entry at MSB Level
ii. Limit Entry at Breaker
iii. Limit Entry at Raid Candle
iv. Limit Entry at OTE 70.5% Retracement
v. Market Entries (where applicable)
Trade entry alerts will detail limit entry prices based on the option selected here.
7. Unentered Trade Invalidations:
IMG Pro can invalidate unentered signals based on these custom criteria:
a. Opposite HTF SFP Before Entry
b. TP Hit Before Entry
c. Confirmed Opposite Signal Before Entry
If enabled and criteria met, the system will alert you to cancel any limit orders for the trade that is being invalidated.
8. Trade Exit Types Available with IMG PRO:
The system provides the following options for trade exit alerts:
a. Exit at Fixed R:R
b. Exit at a confirmed Opposite Signal (Fluid Exits)
c. Exit at enabled and untested HTF POIs
d. Exit on an opposite HTF SFP at a liquidity level
Example: H12 SFPs and Potential Trade Setups at Internal Liquidity Levels with Exit at closest untested HTF POI on a H1 Chart:
9. IMG PRO Alerts Overview
The system provides notifications of:
a. Confirmed HTF Market Structure Breaks
b. Confirmed HTF SFPs at Range Extremes
c. Confirmed HTF SFPs at HTF POIs
d. Confirmed HTF SFPs at Liquidity Levels
e. Potential Trade Setups at Range Extremes
f. Potential Trade Setups at HTF Points of Interest
g. Potential Trade Setups at HTF Liquidity Levels
h. LTF SFPs inside HTF POIs
i. Potential LTF Setups at HTF POIs

📌 HOW DOES IT WORK ?
Order blocks occur when there is a high amount of market orders exist on a price range. It is possible to find order blocks using specific formations on the chart.
The high & low volume of order blocks should be taken into consideration while determining their strengths. The determination of the high & low volume of order blocks are similar to FVGs, in a bullish order block, the high volume is the last 2 bars' total volume, while the low volume is the oldest bar's volume. In a bearish order block scenario, the low volume becomes the last 2 bars' total volume.
🚩UNIQUENESS
The ability to render the total volume of Order Blocks as well as bullish / bearish volume ratio is what sets this Order Block indicator apart from others. Also the ability to combine overlapping Order Block zones will result in cleaner charts for traders.

📌 HOW DOES IT WORK ?
Breaker blocks form when an order block fails, or "breaks". It is often associated with market going in the opposite direction of the broken order block, and they can be spotted by following order blocks and finding the point they get broken, ie. price goes below a bullish order block.
The volume of a breaker block is simply the total volume of the bar that the original order block is broken.
🚩UNIQUENESS
This indicator can not only detect breaker blocks, but it can also detect them with their volumetric information. Volumetric information can be crucial when considering an breaker block's strength, which can be a crucial form of confluence in certain trading strategies.

📌 HOW DOES IT WORK ?
We believe that the analytical elements that are within this indicator work best when they co-exist with each other on the chart. Trading often requires taking multiple elements into consideration for better accuracy on market analysis. Thus, we combined some of the useful strategies in one indicator for ease of use.
1. Volumized Fair Value Gaps
Fair value gaps often occur when there is an imbalance in the market, and can be spotted with a specific formation on the chart.
The volume when the FVG occurs plays an important role when determining the strength of it, so we've placed two bars on the FVG zone, indicating the high & low volumes of the FVG. The high volume is the total volume of the last two bars on a bullish FVG, while the low volume is - of the FVG. For a bearish FVG, the total volume of the last two bars is the low volume. The indicator can also detect FVGs that exist in other timeframes than the current chart.
2. Volumized Order Blocks
In a bearish order block scenerio, the low volume becomes the last 2 bars' total volume.
3. Volumized Breaker Blocks
Often the higher the breaking bar's volume, the stronger the breaker block is.
4. Market Structures
Sometimes specific market structures form and break as the market fills buy & sell orders. Formed Change of Character (CHoCH) and Break of Structure (BOS) often mean that market will change direction, and they can be spotted by inspecting low & high pivot points of the chart.
5. Equal Highs & Lows
Equal Highs & Lows occur when there is a significant amount of difference between a candle's close price and it's high / low value, and it happens again in a specific range. EQH and EQL usually mean there is a resistance that blocks the price from going further up / down.
6. Buyside & Sellside Liquidity
Buyside & Sellside Liquidity zones are where most traders place their take-profits and stop-losses in their long / short positions. They are spotted by using high & low pivot points on the chart.
7. Premium & Discount Zones
The premium zone is a zone that is over the fair value of the asset's price, and the discount zone is the opposite. They are formed by the latest high & low pivot points.
8. MTF Highs / Lows
MTF Highs / Lows are actually pretty self-explanatory, you can enable / disable Daily, Weekly, Monthly & Pre-Market Highs and Lows.
🚩UNIQUENESS
Our new indicator offers a comprehensive toolkit for traders, combining multiple analytical elements with customizable settings to aid in decision-making across different market conditions and timeframes. The volumetric information of both FVGs and Order & Breaker Blocks will be present in your chart to serve you greater detail about them. The indicator also efficiently identifies market structures, liquidity zones and premium & discount zones to give you an insight about the current state of the market. And finally with the use of multiple timeframes , you can easily take a look at the bigger picture. We recommend reading the "How Does It Work" section of the descripton to get a better understanding about how this indicator is unique to others.

Fractal Consolidations [Pro+]Introduction:
Fractal Consolidations Pro+ pushes the boundaries of Algorithmic Price Delivery Analysis. Tailored for traders seeking precision and efficiency to unlock hidden insights, this tool empowers you to dissect market Consolidations on your terms, live, in all asset classes.
What is a Fractal Consolidation?
Consolidations occur when price is trading in a range. Normally, Consolidation scripts use a static number of "lookback candles", checking whether price is continuously trading inside the highest and lowest price points of said Time window.
After years spent studying price action and numerous programming attempts, this tool succeeds in veering away from the lookback candle approach. This Consolidation script harnesses the delivery mechanisms and Time principles of the Interbank Price Delivery Algorithm (IPDA) to define Fractal Consolidations – solely based on a Timeframe Input used for context.
Description:
This concept was engineered around price delivery principles taught by the Inner Circle Trader (ICT). As per ICT, it's integral for an Analyst to understand the four phases of price delivery: Consolidation , Expansion , Retracement , and Reversal .
According to ICT, any market movement originates from a Consolidation, followed by an Expansion .
When Consolidation ranges begin to break and resting liquidity is available, cleaner Expansions will take place. This tool's value is to visually aid Analysts and save Time in finding Consolidations in live market conditions, to take advantage of Expansion moves.

Fractal Consolidations Pro+ doesn't only assist in confirming Higher Timeframe trend continuations and exposing opportunities on Lower Timeframes. It's also designed for both advanced traders and new traders to save Time and energy in navigating choppy or rangebound environments.
CME_MINI:ES1! 30 Minute Consolidation forming Live, on the 5 Minute Chart:
By analyzing past price action, traders will find algorithmic signatures when Consolidations are taking place, therefore providing a clearer view of where and when price is likely to contract, continue consolidating, breakout, retrace, or reverse. A prominent signature to consider when using this script is ICT's Market Maker Buy/Sell Models. These signatures revolve around the engineering of Consolidations to manipulate price in a specific direction, to then reverse at the appropriate Time. Each stage of the Market Maker Model can be identified and taken advantage of using Fractal Consolidations.

MTF Market Structure - SMC IndicatorsThe Multi Timeframe Market Structure helps understand and identify bullish or bearish Market Structure by highlighting “KEY” Highs and Lows. It also identifies changes in market direction by identifying a “Shift in Market Structure” (See Point 2 below) or “Break in Market Structure” (See Point 3 Below).
What are Key Highs and Lows?
Not every high or low is a “Key” high or low. “Key” highs and lows are specific highs and lows that form the structure of the market and have significance in understanding the current trend in the market (see point 1 below).
The indicator identifies these “Key” highs and lows on multiple time frames, allowing the trader to keep a perspective of the Market Structure with multiple timeframes simultaneously (see point 5 below).
The key highs and lows identified by the indicator are as follows:
Key Lows : Identify significant Swing Lows, Short-term lows “STL”, Intermediate-Term Lows “ITL”, and Long-Term Lows “LTL”.
Key Highs : Identify significant Swing Highs, Short-term highs “STH”, Intermediate-Term Highs “ITH”, and Long-Term Highs “LTH”.
Significant Swing High : This is a price swing with one lower candle to the right and one lower candle to the left of it.
Significant Swing Low : This is a price swing with one higher candle to the right and one higher candle to the left of it.
Short-Term High “STH” is a price swing with one lower Significant Swing High to the right and one lower Significant Swing High to the left of it.
Short-Term Low “STL” is a price swing with one higher Significant Swing Low to the right and one higher Significant Swing Low to the left of it.
Intermediate-Term High “ITH” is a price swing with one lower STH to the right and one lower STH to the left of it.
Intermediate-Term Low “ITL” is a price swing with one higher STL to the right and one higher STL to the left of it.
Long-Term High “LTH” is a price swing with one lower ITH to the right and one lower ITH to the left of it.
Long-Term Low “ITL” is a price swing with one higher ITL to the right and one higher ITL to the left of it.
By identifying key highs and lows using the Market Structure Indicator, it can be used in multiple ways by using those reference points as follows:
1. Identifying Market Trends by Connecting Key Highs and Lows.
Bullish trend identification is when the indicator is making higher ITLs and ITHs.
Bearish Trend identification when the indicator is making lower ITLs and ITHs.
PS: it’s essential to understand the underlying market trend on multiple timeframes to use the next features correctly. Always use the Shifts and Breaks in Market Structures in line with the 1H or higher timeframes Market Trend for higher probability trade opportunities. This is because, generally, higher timeframes have more importance than lower timeframes.
2. Shift In Market Structure - SMS for Entries
A Shift in Market Structure “SMS” identifies potential reversal in short-term market trend relative to the timeframe where the SMS is identified.
This occurs after a run of any Significant Swing High or Low and then reversing, creating a Fair Value Gap “FVG”.
There can be Bullish and Bearish Market Structure Shifts.
When a Bullish Shift in Market Structure occurs, the indicator identifies an opportunity for the price to change from Bearish to Bullish, as seen in the image below.
When a Bearish Shift in Market Structure occurs, the indicator identifies an opportunity for the price to change from Bullish to Bearish.
3. Break In Market Structure - BMS for Entries
A Break in Market Structure “BMS” has a similar function to the Shift in Market Structure “SMS”; however, when it occurs, it identifies a potential longer-term trend reversal (compared to the SMS) relative to the timeframe where the BMS is identified.
Unlike “SMS”, the BMS occurs after a run only after a run on Key Highs or Lows.
Similar to the SMS, there can be Bullish and Bearish Breaks in Market Structure.
When a Bullish Break in Market Structure occurs, the indicator identifies an opportunity for a longer-term trend change from Bearish to Bullish, as seen in the image below.
The FVG must occur in the lower 50% of the impulse price leg (at Discount).
When a Bearish Break in Market Structure occurs, the indicator identifies an opportunity for a longer-term trend change from Bullish to Bearish.
The FVG must occur in the upper 50% of the impulse price leg (at Premium).
4. Inversion Break and Shift in Market Structure for Early Entries
Inversion “BMS” and “SMS” are similar to the normal SMS and BMS, but they occur:
Bullish: When the FVG of the Bearish BMS/SMS forms in the lower 50% of the impulse price leg (at Discount).
We use the FVG that forms from the Bearish SMS/BMS as an inversion FVG for potential entry after market trend change from Bearish to Bullish.
Bearish: When the FVG of the Bullish BMS/SMS forms in the upper 50% of the impulse price leg (at Premium).
We use the FVG that forms from the Bullish SMS/BMS as an inversion FVG for potential entry after market trend change from Bullish to Bearish.
5. Multi Time Frame analysis
The indicator allows multiple timeframe perspectives to be considered when using it.
The key Highs and Lows have significance not only on the current timeframe they are identified but also on lower or higher timeframes simultaneously.
This is because a ITL/ITH on the 1H means
It’s a LTL/LTH on one or more timeframes lower (15Min, 5M, and 1Min).
And at the same time, it’s a STL/STH on one timeframe higher (4H)
Also, it’s a Significant Low/High (marked with a dot) on two timeframes higher (Daily).
The same logic applies to all other Key Highs and Lows.
Another example is a Significant Low/High (swing marked with a dot below or above it) on the current timeframe (1D) means it’s a STL/STH on one timeframe lower (4H) and an ITL/ITH on two timeframes lower (1H) and a LTH/LTH on three timeframes lower or more (15M, 5M, 1Min, 30 Seconds, etc…).
This Multi-time frame analysis is a great way to help traders understand Market Structure and Market trend on multiple timeframes simultaneously, and it also assists in Top-down analysis.
PS: Note that this multi-timeframe analysis approach and logic can be applied to any timeframe and for any type of trading (swing trading, day trading, scalping, or short-term trading) because the price is fractal.
For example, if a trader is a swing trader, then it’s best to identify trader opportunities on the 1H or higher; however, lower timeframes Market Structure can still be used to help the traders refine their entries and target key highs and lows in the opposite direction.
If a trader is a day trader or a scalper, the trader could use Market Structure on 15M or lower to identify trader opportunities and target key highs and lows in the opposite direction.
6. Setting Targets
The indicator can also be used to identify potential targets after the SMS or BMS occurs. Targets can be chosen above Key Highs or Lows depending on the trade objective and timeframe where the trade idea is identified.
Bonus Features
Highlight Market Structure Trend
This feature is an excellent backtesting visual tool to look at changes in market trends highlighted in colours. These changes are based on the Shift or Break in of Market Structure depending on the selection option.
When "Shift/Break" in Market Structure" is selected, a Bullish trend is highlighted in blue when a Bullish Shift/Break in Market Structure Occurs and in Red when a Bearish Shift/Break in Market Structure Occurs.
Notifications
Sends notifications when there is a Shift or Break in Market Structure on the current timeframe of choice.
IMGBasic - HTF Structure / Order Blocks / Breakers - V1.0IMG Indicators Overview
The IMG Indicators are crafted as comprehensive educational tools for price action traders. They incorporate a variety of concepts including:
1. Multiple Timeframe Analysis
2. Order Blocks (OB)
3. Breakers (BRKR)
4. Fair Value Gaps (FVGs)
5. Overlaps of OB and FVG
6. Overlaps of BRKR and FVG
7. Analysis of Internal and External Liquidity
8. Strategies for Identifying Potential Entries, Stop-loss, and Target Levels
9. Risk Management and Position Sizing
These Price Action concepts can be applied to any market (Stocks / Options / Forex / Futures / Crypto ) and any timeframe.
Introduction to the IMG Basic Indicator
The IMG Basic Indicator serves as the foundational level within the IMG suite of indicators. Its core function is to acquaint traders with elementary price action concepts such as:
1. Higher Timeframe Market Structures through Multiple Timeframe Analysis
2. Higher Timeframe Order Blocks
3. Higher Timeframe Breakers
4. Breaks in Higher Timeframe Market Structure
Higher Timeframe Market Structure:
Market Structure can be defined using several techniques. The IMG indicators employ the Close through High/Low technique, which necessitates a candle close through a structural level to validate a structural break and designate a new range.
Higher Timeframe Order Blocks (OB)
Higher Timeframe Breaker Blocks (BRKR)
A Breaker Block is identified as the most recent Order Block that has been breached by price, followed by an opposite Market Structure Break. For example, a bullish Breaker Block is the last bearish Order Block that price has passed through, followed by a bullish structural break, and the inverse is true for bearish Breakers.
ALERTS: Higher Timeframe Market Structure Breaks (HTF MSBs)
The system provides notifications of confirmed Market Structure Breaks based on the selected Higher Timeframe Market Structure Timeframe. For instance, selecting a weekly structure will trigger an alert when price closes through a weekly structural level, and the same logic applies to other timeframes like D, H12, H4, H1 etc.
To enable alerts, right-click on the indicator and select “Add Alert on IMG ...”. You may customise the alert name as desired and then click 'Create' to finalise the alert setup.
General Note:
There is no system, indicator, algorithm, or strategy that can provide absolute certainty in predicting market movements. Use trading indicators as a tool to assist with trading decisions and manage your risk wisely.

Displacement Order Blocks ~ DOB [Liquidity_Pro]Displacement Order Blocks (DOB)
This indicator shows order blocks with displacement (FVG required) and leans heavily on ICT’s generous and insightful teachings to define midlines for FVG, IFVG, and order blocks. The market structure definitions follow TradingHub’s (TH) rules filtering out inside bars.
It offers alerts for price in order block, liquidity sweep, break of structure (BOS), change of character (CHoCH), and inducement (IDM).
The TH model was chosen because it's programmatic allowing clear structure definitions that allow us to mark inducements (S/O to @albatherium for publishing the first TH market structure indicator).
TH’s Single Candle Order Block (SCOB) rules have also been helpful in refining order block definition, for example in the Transfer case. ICT fans will see when back testing this, that it moves the focus closer to the FVG.
In developing this indicator, we've tried to offer great aesthetic flexibility, to keep the chart uncluttered and to avoid exceeding Trading View’s limitations on boxes and lines. It's also configured to work reasonably well on both light and dark background charts:
We hope this indicator can serve as a teaching tool for ICT’s price action insights and SMC market structure concepts. For this, we've included optional labels for various order block types:
I = inside bar. The bars that follow the order block have been ignored – you will see the number of ignored bars shown after a hyphen. The idea is that inside bars fall in the shadow of a more important candle and can’t be relied on for defining a trade.
S = standard case. The order block candle takes liquidity from the previous candle and is followed immediately after by an FVG on the next candle. This differs technically from the ICT “last down-close/last up-close” order block concept. In practice, this choice has very little impact on ICT trading, because the ICT trader is entering on the FVG anyway.
T = transfer case. This is an order block that has been transferred from the candle that takes liquidity to the candle just prior to the FVG. When you back test this, you will see it is a high probability choice.
TZ = tweezer. This is an option you can turn off that fills a hole in TH teachings. It bypasses the requirement for an order block to take liquidity from the previous candle in the case of equal h/ls. The result is that you will find 2 candle order blocks with equal highs and lows (also known as tweezer tops/bottoms) show on your chart. You will note that every tweezer is a wick on a higher timeframe.
W = wick. this is a big wick candle that we call an order block without requiring an FVG. The presumption is that the displacement is contained within the wick itself on a lower timeframe.
* Asterisk denotes an extreme order block.
Finally, we trade with this indicator (using it together with our Daye Quarterly Theory ~ DQT free indicator, taking trades when price reaches an extreme FVG or order block during a Q2 manipulation).
We will continue developing it along with other indicators we have not yet published. So please boost if you like this and follow us for updates. Also please let us know what new features you would like to see.
Daye Quarterly Theory ~ DQT [Liquidity_Pro]Thanks
This indicator puts the time-based research of trader Daye on your chart. Daye studied the ICT killzones and macro times and presented his findings, as “Quarterly Theory” on YouTube. Thank you Daye for sharing!
This indicator is not the first, so S/O to @toodegrees, @a1tmaniac and @joshuuu for their own excellent Quarterly Theory indicators. Last but not least, huge thanks go to ICT for his trading innovation and generous free price action education and to @twingall for his insight, attention to detail and great teamwork coding this indicator.
Daye’s Quarterly Theory
First, the fundamental concept is that all units of time can be divided by four into quarters -- just as we look at the year’s corporate reporting cycle of Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4.
Dividing the day by four, into six hour quarters and again into 90 minute quarters and again into 22.5 minute ‘Micro’ quarters we reach the smallest unit shown by this indicator. Apply it to your NQ1! or ES1! charts and you may see remarkable confluence with the ICT macro times!
Why would we want to do this? It helps us understand, visualize and predict ICT’s PO3 concept:
• A - Accumulation (required for a cycle to occur)
• M - Manipulation
• D - Distribution
• X - Reversal/Continuation
The bottom line - we want to sell after a manipulation (M) up, or buy after a manipulation down and Quarterly Theory plots times on your chart where this may occur. Every asset is different, so back-test and research it.
Note, this indicator always shows Q1 as the accumulation quarter (by color), but the order is not fixed and instead of AMDX may appear as XAMD, where Q1 is the Reversal/Continuation quarter. We may eventually offer an update to this indicator which would automatically transpose the quarter colors for you.

About the DQT Indicator
This indicator plots the quarterly time boxes in a panel which can be placed above or below your chart. It allows you to add labels with the opening time and dates and also place time of day markers which can be useful for anyone who wants to mark lunch, and of the trading day or perhaps a favorite ICT macro time. It also works on GOLD (CAPITALCOM), DXY (TVC), currencies and stocks in Regular Trading Hour (RTH) mode.
Note the way that the indicator displays quarters is affected by the time frame you are viewing and as a result you may notice imperfections. Also, the indicator is not tuned to work with every broker, so for example with DXY, you will see the TVC feed is displayed nicely but other feeds are not.
Settings
The DQT indicator offers a great deal of flexibility to customize the display of quarters aesthetically. But it’s designed to work out-of-the-box on both light and dark background charts. It's set up to only show 90 minute and micro quarters initially, but in the settings, you can turn on the daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly quarters. Remember you will only see the Micros on the 7 minute TF or lower.
Lastly, the DQT indicator works well with our DOB indicator allowing you to visualize the confluence of high timeframe PDAs or POIs with manipulation quarters.
If you find our indicators useful, please boost, comment and share -- it's very motivational for us to develop them further and publish new ones!

ICT HTF Candles [Source Code] (fadi)Plotting a configurable higher timeframe on current chart's timeframe helps visualize price movement without changing timeframes. It also plots FVG and Volume Imbalance on the higher timeframe for easier visualization.
With ICT concepts, we usually wait for HTF break of structure and then find an entry on a lower timeframe. With this indicator, we can set it to the HTF and watch the develop of price action until the break of structure happens. We can then take an entry on the current timeframe.
Settings

Captain Backtest Model [TFO]Created by @imjesstwoone and @mickey1984, this trade model attempts to capture the expansion from the 10:00-14:00 EST 4h candle using just 3 simple steps. All of the information presented in this description has been outlined by its creators, all I did was translate it to Pine Script. All core settings of the trade model may be edited so that users can test several variations, however this description will cover its default, intended behavior using NQ 5m as an example.
Step 1 is to identify our Price Range. In this case, we are concerned with the highest high and the lowest low created from 6:00-10:00 EST.
Step 2 is to wait for either the high or low of said range to be taken out. Whichever side gets taken first determines the long/short bias for the remainder of the Trade Window (i.e. if price takes the range high, bias is long, and vice versa). Bias must be determined by 11:15 EST, otherwise no trades will be taken. This filter is intended to weed out "choppy" trading days.
Step 3 is to wait for a retracement and enter with a close through the previous candle's high (if long biased) or low (if short biased). There are a couple toggleable criteria that we use to define a retracement; one is checking for opposite close candles that indicate a pullback; another is checking if price took the previous candle's low (if long biased) or high (if short biased).
This trade model was initially tested for index futures, particularly ES and NQ, using a 5m chart, however this indicator allows us to backtest any symbol on any timeframe. Creators @imjesstwoone and @mickey1984 specified a 5 point stop loss on ES and a 25 point stop loss on NQ with their testing.
I've personally found some success in backtesting NQ 5m using a 25 point stop loss and 75 point profit target (3:1 R). Enabling the Use Fixed R:R parameter will ensure that these stops and targets are utilized, otherwise it will enter and hold the position until the close of the Trade Window.
ICT HTF MSS & Liquidity (fadi)ICT HTF MSS & Liquidity provides higher timeframe view of where the liquidity may reside and when higher timeframe market structure shift has occurred.
In his 2022 mentorship, ICT has advocated used the 15m chart to watch for liquidity and looking for lower timeframes for entry (5m,4m,3m,2m,1m).
Liquidity will reside above pivot points and ICT pivot points are based on 3 candle formation for the short term, three short term formation for intermediate, and three intermediate formation for the long terms.

Use the Short, Intermediate, or Long Term highs and lows
Liquidity Styles

Opening Range Gaps [TFO]This indicator displays Opening Range Gaps with an adjustable time window. Its intention is to capture the discrepancy between the close price of previous and new Real Trading Hours (RTH) sessions, i.e. yesterday's close compared to today's open. A gap will be drawn from this area with a solid line denoting its midpoint, and dashed lines denoting the upper and lower quartiles of its range. Its color is determined by whether the new session open price is above or below the previous session close.
The Gap Session parameter allows users to define the specific time window for which to capture the "gap" in price. Using U.S. index futures as an example, we can use 16:00 - 09:30 (EST) to capture the discrepancy between the previous day's close price and the current day's open price. However, this parameter is left as adjustable for users that may want to observe different markets or simply experiment with different time windows.
Show Session Delineations will draw vertical timestamps denoting the start and end times of the provided Gap Session. Track Start Price serves as a visual aid to track the initial price of the Gap Session until its end price is validated, for easy visual verification of a gap's upper and lower bounds. With both options turned off, the indicator will only display the gap boxes and lines, as shown here:
Extend Boxes will draw all gaps with an indefinite extension to the right. This can get messy with a large number of boxes, which is why we have a Keep Last parameter to limit how many sessions' drawings should be stored. Any drawings that were made beyond this number of sessions in the past will automatically be deleted.
The Timeframe Limit will dictate that the indicator as a whole will only draw objects on timeframes less than or equal to this timeframe, determined by the user. In some cases this may help users avoid resolution errors which may arise from using timeframes that are too large for a given session. For example, if a user wanted to track a Gap Session of 16:15-09:30, the Timeframe Limit should be set to 15 minutes because the close price at 16:15 cannot be observed on a 30 minute chart (or greater).
itradesize /\ Previous HTF x OHLC Box
FYI: It is an invite-only script, if you are interested in, please scroll down to see the Author's instructions.
Introducing an indicator which inspired by ICT concepts that use a model, based on what TTrades teaches in some of his DOL videos about how to get a proper bias.
Having a daily bias can be frustrating and this script could make it easy for you besides creating a ton of opportunities for scalpers as well as not only helpful for a daily bias, it can also help you to determine the actual H4 or H1 bias or even lower.
Always keep in mind: the higher the timeframe you use, the more accurate it can be.
You can use OHLC to determine the current or higher time frame bias as it can be used on any of them and properly gain a sentiment of a drawn of liquidity.
This model integrates the previous candle's open, high, low, and close values (or open, low, high close) in addition to their equilibrium to make it easier to identify where the price should go moreover they can be used as reference points for potential trading opportunities.
The 50% also known as equilibrium creates premium and discount zones within the previous candles. Using the former higher timeframe candle’s OHLC you can simply have an external range of liquidity and where the current price should it drawn to.
With this tool, you can achieve a proper trading framework as you can easily recognize the external & internal range of liquidity, so whether you are a scalper or a day trader you are able to rely on the indicator.
A bit of a candlestick analysis:
When the price wicks below means a potential bullish reversal is incoming.
When the price wicks above, then it means a potential bearish reversal is happening.
Closing below means lower prices. (Bearish trend)
Closing above means higher prices. (Bullish trend)
This indicator is an absolute monster for the OHLC guys.
How to use it?
- Analyse the trend on the higher timeframe, bullish trend is when the price continuously takes the previous candle’s high over and over again. Bearish trend is the total opposite.
- Wait for external liquidity to be taken.
- When it's happening there should be a displacement back to the range with an actual structure shift.
- Looking for an imbalance in the displacement.
- Aiming for an imbalance that is above 50% of the former move.
- Aggressive stop: below or above the candle which has an imbalance
- Conservative stop: below or above the former swing
Classic sell setup:
Classic buy setup:
The indicator has a ton of customizable features, the power of the tool is really in there, as you can find or refine your own model with it. Once you're familiar with your setup you will be really feeling the power of the tool, I promise.
Indicator Features:
• M5/M15/H1/H4/D Time frames
• OHLC bar with an offset (you can have a look at the current HTF bar developing or you can use it as a locked previous bar)
• Current time frame OHLC / OLHC box with extended lines to the current time
• Showing the previous time frame OHLC / OLHC box with extended lines and the ability to add labels. The color of the OHLC or OLHC box is based on the candle closing. If it's a bear candle, if it's a bull candle.
• Previous high time frame open / close lines with labels, customisable colours, label sizes
• It has a lot of customisable features, the power of the tool is really in there as you can find or refine your own model with it.
• Every box and bar automatically switches its colors based on the close of the candle whether it's a bear or a bull candle.
• The color of the labels is switching automatically based on the coloring of your chart.
• You can customize each and every box color - OHLC/OLHC based on your taste, and the open and closing lines of the previous HTF.
Additional Information:
You can combine it with my own model. If you are not familiar with it, you can find here .
Or you can combine it with other frameworks for extra confluences like combining it with Daye’s QT in some simple equation:
Open → Q1 , High → Q2, Low → Q3, Close → Q4
Open → Q1, Low → Q2, High → Q3, Close → Q4
ICT NWOG/NDOG [Source Code] (fadi)New Week Opening Gap (NWOG) and New Day Opening Gap (NDOG) are areas on the chart where price tend to react to and has the potential of moving from one gap to the next. These gaps can act as support and resistance zones where price can bounce of, or go through and retest. Areas of interest are the high, low, the Consequent Encroachment (C.E.), which is the middle between high and low of each gap.
Event Horizon is the 50% distance between two NWOGs and price tend to react to, and could act as Premium/ Discount between two NWOGs.
New Week Opening Gap (NWOG)
The difference between Friday close, and Sunday open. Consequent Encroachment (C.E.) is the area between two NWOGs.
Settings NWOG
- The Colors in the form of Current/Previous and line style for NWOG
- Background color to use for Current/Previous
- Number of NWOGs to use by the indicator (ICT recommends using minimum of 5)
- Extend Configuration:
-- Always Extend all NWOGs
-- Above and below only Shows the immediate two NWOGs that are above and below current price. These two NWOGs are recalculated as price moves
-- Any that is near current price Any NWOG that is near the current price, this can result in multiple NWOGs being displayed, with some overlapping
- Event Horizon only applicable when using the "Above and below only settings"
-- Show Date label and type of gap
New Day Opening Gap (NDOG)
The difference between Yesterday's close and Today's open.
Settings NDOG
- The Colors in the form of Current/Previous and line style for NDOG
- Background color to use for Current/Previous
- Number of NDOGs to use by the indicator, default is 1 but price tend to react to previous ones as well
- Extend Configuration:
-- Always Extend all NDOGs
-- Above and below only Shows the immediate two NDOGs that are above and below current price. These two NDOGs are recalculated as price moves
-- Any that is near current price Any NDOG that is near the current price, this can result in multiple NDOGs being displayed, with some overlapping
-- Show Date label and type of gap
Other Settings
Number of candles to use in calculation is used to calculate the size of the candles in order to derive the distance from current price. If current candle sizes is more important than over longer period of time then use 14 or near that number
Factor multiplier for distance test is the number above times X value. Lower timeframes require a higher number than a larger timeframe. If day trading, a value between 10 and 20 is probably best. If swing trading, a value between 5 and 10 is probably best.
Buffer How many candles beyond current price to extend the gaps by. this is helpful to provide cleaner view of the price action
Market Structure [TFO]The purpose of this indicator is to provide a simple approach to Market Structure. When price is closing over swing highs, we may categorize that as bullish structure; and when price is closing below swing lows, we may categorize that as bearish structure.
We can easily find swing highs and lows via the following built-in Pine Script functions:
ta.pivothigh()
ta.pivotlow()
We can pass in our Pivot Strength parameter to determine the size/significance of these pivots. The lowest value of 1 will validate a swing high when a given high is larger than that of 1 bar to the left and right of it. A pivot strength of 3, for example, would validate a swing high only when a high is larger than that of the 3 bars to the left and right of it, making it much more selective.
In any case, we can simply track the most recent swing highs and lows and check for when price through them. Enabling the Show Pivots option will mark all the swing highs and lows that are being considered for future structure breaks.
If the trend is bearish and we begin closing over swing highs, that would mark a Market Structure Shift (MSS). If the trend is already bullish and we are closing over swing highs, that would mark a Break of Structure (BOS), and vice versa for bearish conditions. MSS essentially signifies reversals in Market Structure while BOS signifies continuations.
Users may also create alerts for Any/Bull/Bear BOS or MSS. Simply create a new alert, select this indicator, and select the desired BOS or MSS criteria.
